Need help...with grayish smoke

Today when I was driving around and flooring the car my friend noticed that whenever I was at WOT there would be this grayish smoke coming out of the exhaust. This was right when I floored the car, it quickly disappeared after I held the gas for a while...do you guys have any suggestions on what could it be? I did some research on this board and some people were saying this could be a lean mixture....

Are you sure it was not more of a blackish smoke ? Reason I ask is at WOT you can be running rich causing you to burn fuel which cause blackish smoke .

head gasket

Wouldn't I be losing coolant if it would be the head gasket? My coolant level has been the same for over a month and this has been happying over a month also. Also with the head gasket wouldn't I be losing power?

I don't think head gasket. Maybe it's just runnin' rich on gas. it coulda just been black, but since there wasn't much there it looked grey.

What could be the reasons for the car to be running rich?

Mine runs rich, too. Still on the stock PCM, though. Does exactly what you said on WOT, gray-ish black-ish smoke out the back. Doesn't bother me, that just means i've got a little more power in there with a better tune

Mine does that too. Runs fine though. Doesn't last long. The longer I go without flooring it, the more smoke comes out. I'm thinking it's just carbon and stuff building up in the cat and then blowing out under heavy throttle. I run a little rich. My car is stock.

I mean think about it. If it only does it for a short time then doesn't do it anymore it's got to be buildup.
