need help ASAP new opti vs cap and rotor

what should i go with? a new opti or a new cap and rotor???? I went to a shop and the head guy said all i need is a cap and rotor. But should i do that or new opti?

There was a post a couple days ago about this same thing...............that being said I personaly would buy the WHOLE thing. The reason I would is because I bought JUST the cap and rotor and and then about 1000 miles later (3 months) the other half (optical) went out. If you want to go just cap and rotor I got one I'll sell you for $50+shipping which is less than half of what I bought it for.

It certainly depends on you unique situation (mileage and such), but I would most always recommend a complete GM unit over only a cap and rotor.

I second the above. I'd get a new one that way you have no doubt as to whether or not your old parts will fail later on down the road. Contact Jason or Dal about a new one. Just my .02
