need help ASAP

This sounds really noobish.. Im having a lot of trouble putting back on the intake elbow, its such a pain in the *** and it wont get back on because the damn adjustment wont loosen enough. Any ideas?

never had any problems getting mine back on. just be sure you put the bottom on first so it doesnt roll into the throttle body.
