Try another program like Freescan or an evaluation download of TTS Datamaster to see if your cable works with that.

have done programming to it before or has any one else for that matter.

does sit communicate or does it fail to communicate. when does it when does it tell you incorrect responce. are you sure that you have selected the corect ecm file from the tool bar labeled ECM you need to select EE

pull the PCM fuse and count to 30. put the fuse back in and see if the fans go off. if they dont then you fried the PCM and will need a new one or yours fixed. im sure madwolf can overnight you one and/or fix your old computer.

did you try reading a file first?

edit: sorry i must have missed it when you said it was giving you a "no response from PCM".. its a paperweight

if i scan it, i ge tht prompt "No response" the fan stay on all the time untill i shut the car off!!!!!!

i say its the PCM cuz this is my th cam install and i have never had a problem!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a cable/physical problem to me. The cable may be shorting the pins you would use to flash codes (if it was possible on a 1994 (it's not)). That would make the fans come on.

Does it make the fans come on if you just plug the cable into the car and not plug the other end to the computer you are using for programming?

Since it does not look like you ever communicated with the pcm, doesn't the engine still run with the old program?

unfortunately i know the signs of a fried pcm all to well and yours is definitely toast. you musta lost contact with it when you got the error "incorrect response from pcm" and that is why the fans now run constantly but the car will not.

did this happen during the first stage of the programming right at the end when it said it was "erasing memory". i have lost a couple pcms with the windows flash utility b/c i tried to read a file off the A drive instead of the hard drive and both times i lost communication while it was erasing the old memory.

pcm is toast. any time you lose connection with the pcm during a write process, the pcm will die since it erases the program first, and will only have a partial file uploaded when you lose coms with it
