Need help. 94' Z28

Hi guys.

I'am new on this board. About two month now I visit this site 3-4 times a week. I learned a lot from you guys, just reading the forum. Thanks. But I still have a few question. I have a 94' Z28 6speed, stock camaro 107000 miles in. I'am going to make a major work on it, after I back from Europe. So I bought a 383 stroker engine from www.chspdx.com what is on the way. I got the following information about the engine:
Premium 4-Bolt main block.
# GM 350/3.750 con rods with NEW Pioneer HP rod bolts and nuts.
# NEW Eagle 383 Steel Crankshaft.
# NEW Speed Pro Hyperutectic Flat-Top Pistons 9.5:1 comp ratio.
# NEW Hastings Moly Piston Rings.
# NEW Speed Pro Camshaft & Lifters .468/.480 - 220/231 specs.
# NEW Fel-Pro Gaskets.
# NEW Melling High Volume Oil Pump.
# NEW Clevite Rod,Main & Cam Bearings.
# NEW Pioneer Flex-Plate. GM Harmonic Balancer.
# New Cloyes Double Roller Timing Set.
# NEW Brass Freeze Plugs.
# Premium MES Remanufactured Cylinder Heads with NEW 2.02/1.60 valves, Springs, Valve Guides, Locks & Seals. 76cc.
# NEW Head Bolts, Pushrods & Rocker Arms. Heads are Polished & ported.

So that is all about the engine. It has 50000 mile 5 years warranty on it. All for $2800 with shipping. I know these are not the best parts and components in it. I should say this is the "poor man's stroker"
Also I bought the following parts :
- #42 Boss injectors
- 58mm Edelbrock TB
- Poor man's CAI from e-bay $45.00
- Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system with high flow catalyc converter.
- Iron cast exhaust cut- out
- Edelbrock Tubular headers
- Accel 300+ Racing wires

Do I need a new fuel pump?
What about the RAM Level 4 clutch on e-bay for $400 ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33730
Or get the SLP?
My transmission so far good. but do you think guys I might need to do something on it for this setup?

I also want to get the Polygraphite Suspension set from PST(any opinion about that products?).

I'am still searching to get a 12 bolt for reasonable price. The best I found so far for $1650 plus S/H from Moser. Do I realy need to get Eaton brand posi in it? What is the different between 30 and 33 spline? I know I have many question...

Some guys says, "the 1970 and earlier 12 bolt rear ends will fit". But I'am not sure that is correct.
I heard many opinion about the computer reprogramming, and I don't know to get a software and accessories to do it myself, or send my computer to reprogramming to someone.?
If you guys know someone who can do it , without ripping me off please let me know.
So that is I have so far, and many info. what I learned from you guys.
So what do you think guys what else I might need for this setup (I live in CA. so I also have to watch the emission)?

Ahh I also got from my good friend a nice OTC Genisys diagnostic tool. He said, "you will love it, when you do your car.." I hope he's right, because I helped out him for few days for this tool.
Thank you guys for the patient to read my letter.

If you're on a budget, there's really nothing wrong with what you have.

I don't think you're going to need 42 lb. injectors though. Those injectors are in the forced induction territory. For what you have, the stock 24 pounders will be just fine.

Your stock fuel pump should be adequate also.

For $400, add a little bit more and get a Spec Stage 3 or 4 clutch.

$1,650 is about the cheapest you'll find for a brand new 12-bolt. 30 spline axles will be more than enough for what you're doing.

There are plenty of programmers out there. "Madwolf" on here tunes, and there are a couple online places like Ed Write or PCMforless.

what your going to need is headers. the stock ones will not be able to handle your motor. A header with 1 3/4 primeries would do the setup up well.

That lift on the cam is small. a 1.6 ratio rocker would bring you up by .030. the higher lift will work better with ported heads.

cooling

What about your cooling? The car is set up for reverse flow cooling. Is the new engine? Are you planning to get another radiator, hoses, ect.?If it isn't a LT-1 block it isn't reverse flow cooling.

Actually, 30-36 pound injectors are what you want. Strokers in general will need to breath. An aftermarket fuel pump would be recommended but I am still running a stock pump (although it has been replaced three times).

Yes. it is a reverse flow engine.

"Red_94Formula" says my cam is small. Do you think I can go higher with stay emission legal, since I live in CA.?

So I can't get 12 bolt cheaper than $1650..? Huu That is will be a lot of overtime for me.

You guys says the 30-36 injectors would be the good. One of my friend said "get the #42", so I already bought it. I hope that size will work ok. too..

Guys if I will go later for Nitrous, wich package you recommend to get for this setup?

Thank you for your help guys. Have good weekend & don't get ticket on saturday night

383

42# will be ok after a tune,Set fuel pressure at 48-49lbs with vacuum and try it.I am running 42#@59lbs butI am making 650FHP.Go with PSMforless is my suggestion only because Bryan has done some tune up's for me and they were real good.Other people on the board do it too and are probably good also.
TNT on the nitrous.
I think your cam is real small. You could use a LOT more lift and at least another 10* of duration.
I lived in LA for 10 years and timing, and fuel curve plays into emissions a lot.Try to get someone to tell you what the bigest set up would be to pass.I have passed with a lot bigger set up than this,by pulling timing and fuel pressure. It don't run so good, but after retune and all is well.
