i'm not sure what the exact question is here... a comma or a period every once in a while might help. or maybe proofreading to make sure your question make sense helps, too.

anyways, water came out of the radiator when you had the cap off and the engine was running? thats normal.

Re: need help

First off, your typing is horrible ...

But here goes:

Usually, if it is blowing water out of the radiator cap, while you crank it/run it, that is a bad head gasket. The compression from the engine is getting blown back through the cooling system and out.

How long did you drive it after the hose blew back out? THat is something you should have noticed almost right away. And if you shut it down instantly, you shouldnt have blown a head gasket. However, if you kept driving it, theres a really good chance you did. Their aluminum heads and warp pretty easy from over heating.

Now, another possibility, is that you didnt bleed the system out right. How bad is it coming out of the radiator? The reason it could be hard to start, and running rough is the that the Optispark, the distributor on LT1's, is directly below the waterpump. If its the hose I am thinking of, if it blew off, it could soak the distributer. If you get a wet cap/rotor, the car WILL not run right and won't want to start/idle good. The best thing you cuold do is fill the rad, add some to the overflow, put the cap on, and then try and bleed it out with the two bleeder screws. Do this with the car running, and put a rag under the bleeders so you dont get the Opti wet(er).

Good luck with everything.

Re: need help

Yea some water coming out is normal, it jsut shouldnt be spraying out. If it is just overflowing and coming out sometimes with a little force, that is normal.

But if it is spraying like significantly high ( Like more than a couple inches) you may be looking at doing head gaskets.

i agree with this. you have to specify in which way the water was coming out. was it just overflowing out of the radiator or billowing out? pull the valve cover off and look under it for a milky substance. you cant always tell from the dipstick.

Re: need help

It might not be your head gaskets ...

Did you drive it for 10 minutes THEN take the cap off? That will sometimes blow up too the hood. And could possibly mean its not a head gasket. You could be looking at other possibilites such as a bad WP, Thermostat, etc. Anything that lets the **** get hot enough to boil could cause it build extra pressure and blow the lines off. Explaining your first problem.

On a side note, Do not ever try and take the rad cap off with it already hot and running.

Fill the rad up, with the cap off, and get someone to make a cold start on it. If it blows out of there with alot of force, its a head gasket.
