Re: need help

If you keep the 94 PCM, you will end up with a few sensors on the engine that have no where to connect on the 94 wiring harness. None of these will hurt you. The crank position sensor is only there to detect misfires. Just leave it unconnected. The EEC and AIR detector sensors are only there to provide the diagnostics required by the OBD-II system. Just leave them unconnected, or delete them.

The one sensor you need to address is the knock sensor. The 4.5Kohm knock sensor from your 94 should be transferred to the 97 block, replacing the 100Kohm 96/97 KS, which is not compatible with the 93-95 PCMs.

You will also have a harness interface problem at the Opti. The 95-97 Opti connector is different than the 93/94 connector. You need to keep the short harness stub from the 97 engine that runs from the gray connector on the bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the Opti.
