neED A GASKET SEAL PART NUMBER
Re: neED A GASKET SEAL PART NUMBER
Ah, ok ... the optispark's drive shaft should have a notch cut in it for the o-rings. I just finished putting mine together, and it had 2 o-rings on the shaft (mine is a vented unit).
Since yours in unvented, I'm not sure if it has 1 or 2 o-rings on the shaft. Inspect the opti shaft closely (or take a pic if you can) and see if there is one or two notches in it for o-rings.
There are also o-rings which go on the waterpump shaft; so make sure you replace those as well. They are the same size as the opti spark o-rings.
Thomas.

I assume that you have an unvented 94 opti so the seal p/n that I gave for the 93-4 is the one you need.. the 95-7 seal is a LOT larger in diameter and no it won't fit a 93-4..
If Cromer gave you:12552428 it's the seal for the late vented opti, and no way will that fit in the early [unvented] cover..
Have you[or someone] upgraded the opti to vented?
The first shoebox diagram http://shbox.com/1/engine_front_diagram.jpg in Stoopalini's post shows the difference in the early and later timing covers at the bottom right..
