Lightbulb Need a fuel pump. Please give me some options...

Well I think I am going to change my fuel pump. I am going to do the frowned upon cutting in the hatch to make an access panel method... Anyway what brand fuel pump should I go with? My car will have heads soon along with the Hot Cam that is in there now. Also do the aftermarket high volume/flow pumps directly replace the stock units? Or is there any fabricating that needs to be done..

Thanks again...

You can go with a Walbro 255l pump. They do not fit exactly in the stock bucket, but you can tweak the bucket to make it work. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a stock pump is good to 350hp. You might want to get a new stock pump.

I think granitelli makes a direct replacement (check out summit racing)...no modifications needed. But, im sure it costs an arm and a leg more than the walbro.

Yes. I know I will be pushing more HP than 350 RW so I wanted something bigger. I thought that there were more direct replacement performance fuel pumps out there.
Thanks

lol... the GMS pump IS a granitelli.. just with the correct wiring harness... And yes you STILL have to mod the hanger assembly to get it to work... Trust me.. I am the fuel pump god.. lol..

Walboro 255LPH is what I went with...works fine for me. Here are some instructions for putting it in, although since your doing the access panel only the last part probably applies to you:

I 2nd that, they have excellent customer support, I believe they use the Walbro 307 and the bigger Walbro 340, do a search under their name on this board and you'll see what i'm saying!
