Need a fix for the obd1 no shift
car has a 3k midwest stall. I am tired of having to go to the track and pull a good 60ft then bahm hit the revlimiter. I know not to many people like to talk about this but I need to fix this so lets come out of the woodwork and talk about it
What are my option's I have a 700R4 I am thinking about rebuilding but I just had the 4L60E built. What is all involed in the OBD2 Conversion?(just paid for a custom program and socketed pcm)So I dont really want to do that. I have heard a little about a vacum modulator vavle that Trans go make
but I caint find any info on it I have searched for hours every time I get back from the track . I might have a fix for it.When I moved my battery to the rear it will only charge at 12 volts. and thats when this started. you guys think that could cuase it. the car will charge 13.5 when I first start it up then fall to 11.5-12.0 even lower if the fans are on and the car is stoped in gear or not. I just want to fix this sorroy its so long.
TIA Sean

vacuum mod kit will just make sure you have plenty of line pressure to make the shifts without burning the clutches.
You can either go OBDII, or in order for the PCM to shift, it needs to meet a speed and rpm base. Make one very low, and then set shift points based souley on the other.

Have you done a search regarding this? One way to fix it in the computer has been discussed in this forum in previous posts, and in the computer forum too.
If you don't have tunercat or LT1 Edit you might have to get your programmer to do it for you. Who did the program for your car?

Bryan from www.pcmforless.com fixed mine. But when I went from the 3200 to the 3600 stall along with the FLP level 4 trans build, FLP vacuum modulated the trans so I never encounter the problem again. Talk to a trans shop about getting your trans vacuum modulated.. It is sweeeeeeeetttt!!
Call FLP www.flp2win.com Maybe they can explain more.
Good Luck
