Need to find 20-30rwhp

Below are my mods. Keep racing this guy that just creeps by my. I figure another 20-30rwhp will do it. Don't want to go into the motor yet. Need some ideas......I was thinking 1.6rrs but not sure if that would do it. Still running stock elbow with silencer. Would eliminating this help?

Time for the good ole Hot Cam Kit. Comes with the 1.6 rr's, springs and stuff. Just slap it in. Get it from Jason Cromer $490.00 shipped. Depends what your looking for.

I don’t think changing the elbow would grant you any noticeable power if any at all. The 1.6 rr would help but they’re not close to what you have in mind, could only give you maybe 10 rwhp max. If you’d like to dive in the engine then a good mild cam should do it for you. Have you considered deeper gears (read 4.10) and stickier tires?

Yeah I was thinking about going to 4:10's and some Nittos. Didn't want to do the cam change just yet. For the price of tires and gears though I could do a 100 shot and be there I guess. Thought there might be some things I was over looking...guess not..

Dump the 17" (heavy) wheels and get some 15-16 inch rims and BFG's... Then try it again. As far as power, I'd so a small cam and update your springs if thats what you want, but BFG's and lighter rims may provide what you are looking for, particularly since you arerunning 17's currently. Of course you may still have traction issues...
