Need Dyre Help! I think my OPTISPARK was wet by the shop!!!

Well I have been wondering what was going on with my cooling system for weeks now and figured that my waterpump was going out on me. So my old shop, the one that put it in decided to open the front of the waterpump and see if the impeller was working fine. Well they told me they opened it and it was not the waterpump......so they refilled back up the antifreeze and checked the radiator cap, it was definatly bad(lost all pressure in under 5 seconds). So then my car is running so much cooler now since I had put in a 160 t-stat, watter wetter, new water pump, and new radiator.

Well I just went from work from the shop less than 2 miles away. Their didn't seem to be any problems that I could tell. Well after work I decided to try out my car and drive it for a while. So things seemed to be going good when I floored it to test it and I didn't move for a good 2 seconds then it would go all of a sudden. I had MAJOR hesitation and it seemed to be something electrical is my guess. When I stopped i noticed that my rpm's were much higher than they usually are in fact usually like at 550-600 at a stop and the rpm's are close to 1000. I had tried to floor it several more times and the same thing happened to me each time, hesitated for a couple seconds then took off . Right now I think that the shop must have le tthe waterpump **** all over the optispark when they were checking the impeller inside.. I got the car home and low and behold I tried to start the car up and nothing! The car wouldn't start. Well I came inside my house, had a fit, then decided to go back outside and show my dad. Well the car did start altough the idle is still high and it has a rough start. When it starts it starts at like 1800rpms and slowly goes down to 1200rpm's or so. I ran the car for half an hour and it ran fine besides the now higher idle and weird starts. Can somebody please let me know what is going on???

well ide bring it back to the shop and let them know whats going on with the car and see what they say, you might luck out but i doubt you will, there going to say the reason the opti is bad is because it was weeping from the waterpump when we got it, but at least try and see what happens

Without giving you false hope, If your opti was in decent shape, I think it will dry out and you might not have any further problems.. Someone call BS on me if I'm lying please :\ I could swear I read a healthy opti has a chance of drying out and not rendering any problems.

Unhappy

Well I am going to drive it around to school today and see how the optispark is doing. I am hoping that whatever was causing it to act like that dried out.
