I need an intake to run my 94 LT1 on engine dyno with carb. GM has one for $300 anybody here want to sell or lend me one? Don't want to waste more than $200 on one.

If dynoing the motor only the carbed intake will tell you little as it will greatly boost torque over the stock intake at the expense of HP.

Just a breaking run and to let the shop make sure the shortblock is up to snuff before delivery? Sounds like a great idea, it seems like too often you hear about people losing fresh motors and I bet they have a tought time with the shops, this way they get to run it themselves for any startup issues.
