Need cam advice for my 383

I decided to go with AI because iam planning on staying N/A for a while and I doubt stock castings could achieve the desired results N/A.
My setup (waiting for it) is going to be a forged 383, with the ''Trick Flow 210cc LT1 Competition Package'' from Ai and their high performance hyd. roller kit.
Iam trying to pick a cam, and was wondering what you all had to say about it.
Car will be a weekend street/track car, no huge weight reductions, very little town driving, m6, 4:10's gears, walbro fuel pump with 42lb injectors, pacesetter longtubes, no emissions, pcmforless tune untill i can get it dyno tuned, 10bolt and a lightly ported lt1 intake (for now). Intake will be replaced with something better as the finances allow.
Should I pick an off the shelf cam (gm847?) or go with a custom? How would I go about getting a custom cam spec'd out exactly if thats what you recommend? Have heard some lt1 guys going to 1.7rr's, comments on that or should i stick with 1.6?

Thanks for any/all replies

Re: Need cam advice for my 383

If going with a head porter that supplies cams especially one like AI that can do any Comp lobes or a more custom billet cam why not take advantage of what they have to offer and let them help you. I am not saying this just about AI it aplies too whomever you have work your heads, they will help you pick something to take the best advantage of what they are doing for you. Afterall they want you to be happy with their work and if you pick a bad cam based on bad advise on forum it will make their heads look bad, but if they help you get a great cam it just makes the whole experiance of doing buissiness with them that much better.
I see a lot of guys going with LE stuff but then wanting an off the shelf grind, I don't understand it??????? Talk to him and Brett and they will work with you they understand that they need more than just a strict LE1-2-3 and have options beyond just 3 grinds.

Ok ill give them a call sometime and talk it over then. Thanks
What all information do they need from me to recommend a cam? Is what I posted above^ cover it or is there more?

Another question although unrelated, i plan on using arp main bolts and keeping the windage tray, will there be any clearance issues? Looks like like it to me but who knows.
