Need brake help ASAP

I have a 92 C4 vette with brake probs. It was making a clunking noise that was coming from the driver side front wheel so I pulled off the rim and found out that my caliper is loose. I can pull it toward me about a 1/2 inch and push it away from me about the same distance. When I move it the rotor also move back and forth a little. What is my problem? Also the long pin at the bottom of the rotor with the C-Clip looking thing on the end is also loose. Any help is appreciated because I really need it fixed today.
thanks
brad

Did you check the caliper mounting bolts? (3/8 allen head) Don't know what you are describing "the long pin at the bottom of the rotor with the C-Clip looking thing"

I dont have allen head bolts for the Vette. There isnt even holes for them. I guess the brakes on the C4 are different from my old TA. I still have no idea what the prob is.
thanks
