need big time help
k guys heres when the problem started when i had a nitrous back fire at the track. then put the car on the trailer and took it home then the next day i turned it on and it was on fine till i turned on the a/c and it started acting up and then shut off. then when i tried to turn it on again it will only fire up at wide open throttle only. as if it was flooded then sure enough we pulled the plugs and there filed out. put on a new set and fired up fine then after using it for about 30 minutes it started acting up again and shut off. car flooded again. we checked the plugs and sure enough there filed out again. so we check the fuel pressure and it was fine at 40 psi car would run perfect on it before. then we put a new disributor and nothing. car will start at wide open throttle only and bogs when you floor it. my guess flooded but why does it keep doing this ????
Re: need big time help
Ya probably blew the end caps off of all the injectors, and maybe bent the throttle blades.Your MAP sensor is probably tit's up and maybe some vacuum related items from the explosion pressure.
Them 'splosions get expensive.

Re: need big time help
Why did it back fire too much juice or a fuel puddle?? I've seen you car in Edingburg what are you running. Also did you retard the timing for the nitrous, I use the msd digi6 plus for mine.
Re: need big time help
Anything connected to the manifold may be damaged. As LR stated, the MAP sensor could be damaged, telling the PCM the engine is under load, and causing it to pour in unneeded fuel. Same with the MAF sensor (if you have one... you don't have a signature indicating the year of your car). You've got to go over the manifold and everything connected to it.... all the sensors - MAP, MAF, IAT, all the vacuum connections, the throttle body (I've bent the blades as a 45deg angle with a nitrous "pop"). Make sure the inlet elbow isn't torn apart.

Re: need big time help
Its sort of hard to read these rambling sentences without any punctuation.... might explain why you're not getting much in the way of responses. What exactly do you mean by "won't fire up right"? Starter turns, but engine doesn't start at all????..... engine starts but runs poorly at idle????... engine starts and won't accept load on the road????
Did you check the MAP sensor?
I doubt a little overlap in the exhaust gasket would cause a backfire... some header designs include a small ridge to prevent reversion, and they don't cause backfires.

Re: need big time help
Have you checked the injectors yet? I had one go bad in my Buick and it fouled out the plugs (in that cylinder) faster than I could swap them in. I went through 3 of them before I finally figured out the problem.
