need answers quick

let me start off with what i have

lt1 block with badly spun main
spun rod 8
spun rod 2
badly spun rod 7(think the rods trashed)
crank from this, crank is trash(pretty sure) actually positive

good crank pistons rods with 65k on them...no spun nothing

what do i do? i was planing on using the good crank and one of the good rods with the same pistons out of the block......should i just get all the good stuff machined to match the block?
thanks guys

Well, I'd have the good stuff polished up at least. I'd talk to your machine shop because that block will have to be line-bored/honed and you might need oversized bearings because of it. Hopefully the badly spun main didn't ruin the block. They'd be able to tell you the best thing to do.

Re: need answers quick

So you have a bad motor and then you have a complete good rotating assembly from another motor. Why not just use the good assembly with the block instead of mixing stuff up? Technically I guess it doesn't matter since everything is going to be machined and what not, but that's just the way I am. Also you might look into some stock replacement pistons, if you have the money that is, they aren't that expensive.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to mismatch as long as everything is machined.

I've always heard that when you spin a rod where it's unuseable, the rod that is mounted next to it (same journal) is also bad. I don't know why, but it's what I've heard.
