Need advice pls
I need to know where to start on adding some horsepower on my 95 Z28. The car is pretty much stock except K&N cai and flowmaster 40 series. Since hot cam kits are not made anymore, what would you guys recommend? My goal is to do mid 12's.

first off would be a better exhaust setup.
flowmasters are not well known for good flow.
info on budget and emissions requirements would help.
but i suggest headers, suspension work, sticky tires, and any one of a dozen cams on the market. maybe something well known like the cc305 or cc306

This like teke184 says, totally depends on your budget.
If you budget is high, then finish the bolt ons including headers, cat back, y-pipe, along with suspension such as lower control arms, A-arms, drag shocks and springs, correct sticky tires, 4.10 gears, and then get a good top end kit with a good set of heads, and a decent cam (a couple bigger ones I reccomend are the GM847, CC306), plugs, wires, SVO 30lb injectors and a nice dyno tune, and you will have no problem getting into the mid 12's if not faster.
If you are on a tighter budget, then you only need 2 things, tires, and Nitrous! In all honesty, nitrous is a cheap effective way of making power. You may need to spend a little on some safety items like a window switch, and I would reccomend a direct port system, but it will effectivly get you faster for less.

A good nitrous set up , with all safety equipment, will cost close to a grand.
I would recommend doing full intake and exhaust. CAI, Headers and catback. That will run about $ 1,200. (Depending what you buy). The mod that gave me the biggest grin was definitly the headers.

What kind of headers did you go with and also did you get shorties, mids or long? People say that long tubes will give me better gain and others tell me theres no difference between the two.

definitely go with long tube headers...they will give you the biggest gains...when you get the headers ditch the cats and get a computer tune to clear whatever codes come up...and either get a full 3" cat back exhaust or go with a true dual exhaust set-up(true duals will give you the most power but will also be the more expensive set-up)

Mids or long tubes will give you the best results. I would go with the mid-lengths if you have emissions requirements to satisfy, if not,then long tubes and off-road y-pipe all the way. A mail-order tune is also another good bang for the buck mod.
