Comp lobes 3316 & 3318 on a 110LSA with really good heads and lots of compression should get you there and sound simply bad ***! You'll probably want 1.6i/1.5e rockers with very good springs + maybe a rev kit. And you'll probably be shifting at around 7 grand. With 4.56 gears (in a 9" or 12 bolt) it would be very aggressive on the street

Personally, I'm going with much less cam (probably 227/239) and only 4.10 gears in my impy

All your power is in the heads. What ever you are going to use will have to be ported. I can hardly tell my cam is there, but idle is high. Tune and heads/cam the key to big hp/tq. Guy just posted the other day with a 355 had 399rwhp NA.

I know guys with 400+ hp and I've seen guys with ~370 beat them. Maybe it's the driver or maybe not. I've read on this board before that hp wasn't everything, that is why I am no longer shooting for that "400" almighty mark. Yeah it would be cool to say I have 400rwhp on a stock bottom end...but it is cooler to say I beat a 400rwhp with my 370rwhp car. When I am done, if I ever can really begin, I am just shooting for a FAST car. I wanted low 11's, but I've seen 400hp cars that don't run it. I think with a CC306, ported to He!! heads, LT's, bigger TB, X pipe true duals, dyno programming, some conserversial gaskets(.39 or impala), EP, good wires and plugs, egr block offs, tb bypass, tb foil, cold air, and any other bolt on that can be thought of.

that only happens when a more powerful car loses traction.

Exactly, if you have the suspension to match the power, then it wouldn't be such a bad loss. However, a lot of times people with a ton of hp often times don't beef the suspension up as much. I guess my point would be, either go lower in the hp and do a good suspension...or go high on the hp and do a great suspension. I think you should always do the best suspension no matter what because when you have a lot of hp...you end up wanting more.

Couldn't said it any better.
I think suspension is one of the big reasons why those 600hp supras cann't run any faster in the 1/4 than 400hp LT1s.

It's all in the combo. I put down 400 rwhp, well 399.1 , with STOCK tune and drag radials that were hopping thier butt off. I will be back on the dyno next week and expect to see 420 to 430 at the wheels. That isn't bad when it's through an a4 with a 3600 vig
The car has now been tuned by Joe Overton with Lethal EFI Performance. I would contact him. The tune made a real seat of the pants difference! I walked away from a 02 ZO6 from a roll on the big end.
As far as the heads, Mine only flow 248 cfm through stock size valves. The custom cam was designed for TQ and is installed straight up. If anyone doesn't believe me, I have vids of my car in action against a T?A with AFR heads and a 306. My cam actually has even less duration.
It can be done with a tight budget and the right parts. My car is a daily driver and rides great and gets ALOT of attention at every light

If possible could I get some more info on your setup/combo? I'm in Bowie, MD, but go to school in Blacksburg, VA. Either way I'm not THAT awfully far from you. Would love to find out more about where you dyno tune your car, don't know of any decent places around here that can dyno AND tune my LT1. What are "the right parts"? Hope it's not a secret! If you want, contact me through PM, email(mself@vt.edu) or Aol Instant Messenger if you have it (chang rodriguez). Thanks!

No problem, I'll shoot you a PM tonight. You can also check the website at the bottom of my sig. Joe is the one that designed my cam and I'm not at liberty to share the specs. He really knows what it takes to be quick

No, this was before combination existed. They were Pro Performance heads, out of LA.
