i have found a part and i am not sure what the function of it is. it is a black plastic cylindrical shaped object that is bolted to the frame by the right next to the horn. it is probably 6 inches long or so. there is a vacuum line going to it as well. any suggestions on what this is?

is that needed or can it be pulled off with the vacuum line plugged?

 

Only you can say if you need it or not. It provides reserve vacuum for the controls during extended periods of low vacuum. If it is a race only car, then you don't need it.

 

i see...i have talked to a few people that pulled it off and they said their heat/AC still works. i just wasn't sure if they were feeding me a line or what.
