Name that noise... exhaust leak-like, but goes away when warm?

Anyone ever experienced this? It's coming from the driver's side cylinder bank. It sounds just like an exhaust leak, but I guess it seals itself when it warms up? This is very strange since I've never heard of that happening before. It's so cold out that my ***** freeze together so I haven't gotten a real good look yet. The sound increases with RPM before it goes away. I think I may try tightening the manifold to head bolts and see if it stops/decreases at all before I do anything else.

lt1,s are known for the exhaust bolts to break off from age and heat flex
when cold you will hear an exhaust leak but when the exhaust maniflod heats
up it will expand and the noise will go away. cold = noise/ hot= no noise.

::sigh of relief::

I was praying it wasn't the lifters when I first heard it

I'll take a closer look tomorrow and maybe order some gaskets. And spark plugs/wires. It's probably due for a tune-up

i should have told you, the bolts that normally break are the back bolts
close to the fire wall 7 or 8 cylinder if either are broke off in the head you
will have to get a welder to come out to weld a piece onto the end of
the broken bolt which is alot simpler then pulling of the head i have already
went through this so if this is your problem take your time and good luck!
