Bad O2 could be the problem when they come on line in closed loop mode. I have had this problem since I am blown and wasted many. A cold start problem is different because it is open loop mode @ start.

O2s have been replaced and read fine on the scanner. Both very sparatic reading, neither are delayed or read lower than the other.

What are your blms?

Even when my blms are where they should be, my car still smells "rich". Smells like race fuel.

I gotta hook it up to the scanner to get the number for ya. Unfortunately my car isn't with me right now so I can't do that. It varies from 100-800 though I believe.

It only varies from 108-160 stock. 128 being optimal. 108 is rich and the pcm is pulling fuel at the max rate. Mine was like that but I could find no problems so I adjusted the injector constant to get them nearer to 128. Try to be on just under 128 if you have the tuning capability so it doesn't pull fuel at wot. BLM=block learn multiplier. Just a fyi so you are sure of what you are looking at. When you said 100-800, I am assuming you were thinking of the O2s.

Verify what your Long and Short term fuel trims are doing to get an idea of how rich.

In my case, my LTerms (BLM's) were pegged at 108. Turns out I had lifters that weren't holding a pump when warmed up. So there's another for the list.

Yes I thought you meant O2 readings. The fuel trim levels I wanna say are around 120-128. Thats if I'm thinking right. This weekend I'll get the scanner on it and write it all down so I can post an exact reading of what it's doing.

If they are over 108, your car isn't running rich. Unless your O2s are gone. Or your tune is off.
