I am trying to get an Idea if the LT block the starter at all or can the starter be removed without taking out the passenger side header.

Also, How is plug access and Ground Clearance with your Hooker LT or Jet Hot Coated Headers?

Thx,
Claude

There's plenty of access area to get to the starter. I have about 5" ground clearence from my Jet-Hot flanges.

There aren't any issues with removal of the starter with longtubes. I have the Hookers and plug access is terrific!

I dont know about the Hookers but My Grotyohann LTs almost completly block the starter from coming out.

Does anyone have any under the hood pics (plug clearance) and under the car picks (Starter and ground clearance)?

Thanks,
Claude

Well I've had to take out the starter a few times and there is no problem at all. In fact I take it out everytime I change plugs because the clearance makes it so easy. I have 4 inches of clearance on one side and 3.5 on the other, not sure why one is lower, maybe made that way, or maybe motor mounts sagging. at in rate with my true duals, I never scrape on the headers, only on the dual parts, so there is lots of room, also the fact that the collectors are so close to the front wheels helps keep them from scraping

D James,
How much easier or harder is it to change plugs compared to stock exhaust manifolds?

Thx,
Claude

Even if you didn't gain anything performance wise, the ease of changing spark plugs by going with longtubes over the stock manifolds is a big enough selling point for me!

No problems with my hookers and starters. My buddies FLP and starter was SUPER tight, but do-able.

Like said above, i drop the starter to do 6/8 plugs. Plugs on LT are CAKE compared to stock
