Is my tranny bad?

At half throttle it will bounce off of the rev limiter, but it still shifts pretty hard when driveing normal. Other than it winding out real bad. Is that normal or is there something else wrong? I hope it is the tranny because I have another one that is beefed up to be put in about a week.

i'd change the fluid and see how it looks. If is smells/looks burnt, its probably well on its way out.

It does it on every shift, but it is worse when going to 2nd and pretty bad when going from 2nd to drive and it gets a little better when going from drive to OD, but it still bounces off of the rev limiter.

If its bouncing off the rev limiter at 1/2 throttle....I'd say its slipping and maybe should have it checked out b4 something disintergrates.
