my throttle response sucks

ok i ruled out the tps, just because i had it checked, i had new plugs and wires, cleaned iac, now what? i stop on the gas, and it seems as if the car has to think about it for 1 sec, i can push the pedal the the floor and let go before it thinks? im clueless. no codes, i used seafoam and nothing worked from using that, im sure it cleaned stuff, but nothing good came out of it. and im pretty sure that its not the throttle cable, cuz its not loose, its tight. help me out i dont want that 1 sec loss trying to race a stang!

I know what you mean. I wish mine was better to. That's why I'm hoping to find a mod that will pick up the throttle response a great deal. I was told the HPP 3 will do just that. There's a chip out there that says it will increase throttle response, but I wouldn't buy it. All it does is change the percentage at which your car hits WOT. You would probably waste a lot more gas with that chip.

Also, I saw that you did the IAT relocation. Did you see anything at all from doing that? Just wondering.

not really

i put a new coil on, i just relocated the iat cuz i did a homemade cold air induction, but the throttle response was the same both ways, im thinking i might take my egr valve off tonite to see its plugged, it probly wont help, cuz im not getting any ses codes so nothings wrong, and i posted before about getting one of those plug in better reponse things, but i wanted to know if anyone ever used one, but out of thehundreds of thousands of 93-97 lt1 camaros out there, no one posted to my post, so either it didnt work or something? but keep the posts coming

When you used seafoam did you clean the TB and make sure the blades open rapidly? Also, you might want to borrow someone's PCM for a few minutes to eliminate that possiblility.

I haven't had that problem and I even put uds, msd and air foil on just to enhance the response.

I have the same problem now. It seems that it got worse after I put my exhaust in. Do any of you think this could be an A4 thing? Most people that replied do have auto's. I've heard that underdrive pullies help. As far as the hypertech programmer goes, I noticed no difference in throttle response. The power adding option is even more of a joke. Apparently it just increases spark in the low end to give more torque, but my car actually felt slower, changed it back and it fixed the problem. I think this spark increase is why it "should" give better throttle response, but don't waste your money.

you may want to check the throttle postion sensor and the acceltor cable. My cable was not really tight(no clue how it got that way???) but I got a new one and the response is better. I have an m6 but I know what you mean, it takes a split second before the car moves when the rpms are climbing. if the bottom of the gas pedal isn't almost a inch above the floor mat you may want to replace it. it was 30 bucs or something

he means when you dont give it any gas.. the tension of the cable holds the pedal up. you can also test this out by having someone press the gas while you look at the TB.. it should open the same if you pull it down by hand or use pedal.

The blades should be horizontal. If they don't open far enough, or open too far, it impedes air flow.
