Question Is this my starter?

When my car is cool, like has been sitting over night, it starts up fine. But if I have driven it any distance and try to start it up while the car is warm or hot, it does not want to start. It's almost like its not getting any juice to turn the car on. I know my battery is fine, I just had it tested maybe a month ago. What do you think it could be?

I would say yes...If I had to guess why, it seems like that since you had the car running for a while, the starter is getting heated up and when you try to restart it, maybe there is too much resistence built up in the starter due to te heat

You could fab up a heat shield.I believe you can buy tape that might do the trick. Its worth a try.

It doesn't look like you have headers. So I'd say replace the starter. If you have headers you may want to look into using a heat resistant wrap to cover the starter or get your headers coated.

No, I don't have headers. I may still look into the heat wrap.
