My Spark Plug Wire Was Off!
as you guys have read my previous post, my car had a miss all the way through out the power band, and even while ideling. i had 1.6 rr's installed, and Z28 valve springs, and a good valve job. i thought my rockers were to tight (which was part of the problem) so i had them adjusted, and the car still ran crappy and would burn up $10 dollars of gas in 70miles. i was totally stumped and i checked every vaccum hose, coil wire and injector connections, etc...
so i thought i might have been bad spark plugs since i used the same ones that were in it while i had the blown head-gasket, so they had a hard short life...
anyways i changed the driver side out in 15 mins, and i got 3 of the passanger side plugs from the top, and the number 8 plug from the bottom...
i did the number 2 (first plug on pass. side) last...and could you belive it! ever since my heads were done and we adjusted every thing checked everything for that freaking miss i had, THE SPARK PLUG WIRE WASNT EVEN ON THE NUMBER 2 PLUG!
how can somthing that simple always be so hard to figure out? however i replaced the ac delco plugs with ngk tr 55's...and gapped them at .048.
my car runs awsome, i was starting to wonder if it would ever run right again, but it still has a slight hesitation from 5-6300 rpm, i think its just the gas or something (cheap gas).
im gonna put in 93 octane and a bottle of 104 octane to see if that helps.
just thought id share my freaking easier solution to my miss.

Yes always go with the Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade approach.
Car won,t run, I don,t know why.
Look at fuel guage, "Aint got no gas in it"
Always check the basics first.
It may seem obvious but it can trip you up.
