More the exception than the rule, but not unheard of by any means. However, your car is stock. Plugs/wires/coil don't really count, IMO.

Enjoy it while it lasts .

I didn't exactly mean these as mods, I meant those as my car is running better after the tune-up. My actual mods are only cai, cutout, and LT4 KM. But my cutout is closed on long trips, so that doesn't count.

31.3?!?! Wow, I hope I can pull that off sometime.

not many get THAT high but close.... all depends on how you drive and how heavy your foot is
I have gotten around that as well... the 6th gear is great!!

All in all I got the whole thing for around 75 bucks. I kinda fell into a piece of it and went ahead and got the whole thing. I already had a K&N filter for it (stock size), so I figured what the heck.

I would have never paid full price for it.

I know all last week from driving back and forth to work and back home I got 260 miles on the tank and that's just cruising in 5th gear the whole time, never put it in 6th gear at all.

I can still get 25 mpg using 6th gear with all freeway driving when I keep my foot out of it. I'm running 3.50 gears in my 9" and putting down 527 rwhp on blower only. Mixed street/highway driving is 15 mpg.

Must be Cali, cause ever since I came out here my mileage has dropped substancially. I would usually get 17 city 26-27 highway, but being in Los Angeles has cut it down to about 13/20 THe expressways are like city side streets--stop go stop go. I love the fact that there is a stop light at every block, and of course they are timed to stop you at everyone, so your car has no chance to keep a nice speed maintained. So much gas must be wasted from this alone, now with gas prices so high, it really sucks just put in 8 bucks and got 3 gallons I think the price was like 235 or something, this is for the mid-grade

these MPG threads come up every so often, I wouldn't really say getting 27MPG is even the exception at all..I got 27MPG on my one full highway trip that I checked it...now I typically get right at 20MPG with 75% highway and 25% city, but I have a heavey right foot too.

No matter how hard I beat it I have never pulled less than 17MPG.

Yo

Anyone have a full exhaust with LT's check out their MPG? My friend says he gets like 8mpg or some bullish like that. Something has to be wrong right... I've seen him drive his car too, he NEVER gets on it... His car is to loud so he'll get pulled over. L0L

He has Jet Hots, Hooker Y, and a LM. An Intake and a few cheapo mods. M6 too...

My other friend has a 91 Camaro and says his gas mileage is TERRIBLE and when he drives like a jackass, its disgusting... his is an A3 though.

I live in a city type area, so when I get mine, I want to keep my gas mileage within reason. I know its not going to be the best, but from what i've been reading... the MPG really makes me want this car more.

Cool

I average 27 to 30 mpg on many business trips i use the Z for.

Funny, I can get upwards to 400 miles on a tank full or just barely 200 miles!

I am getting 10 (if I am lucky) mpg right now . 90% driving on the streets of NYC (10% highway). I know that this is bad and for my mods I should get around 15MPG. I will replace o2 sensors and !Cat next week and see what heppends.
