is my maf shot?

Well, I posted a thread earlier, but I seem to have lost it, and I had a SES light on, and the car would cut out when you tried to give it gas. Well, I got my car scanned and it was the MAF. It said something about the voltage of the MAF. I took the maf out, and cleaned it, and then now, a week later, it screwed up again. That was last night, and now today, its fine. Is my MAF shot, or is it the 12 volts going to it? Whats the deal? Am I gonna have to fork over money for a new one?

Thanks,

Rob

Re: is my maf shot?

same thing just happened to me not to long ago. turned out the wires connected to the sensor were being pulled on so whenever i revved it and the motor tilled a lil bit it pulled harder on the cords causing it to come unconnected for a second. i just did a little reposisioning and works beutifully now
