Thanks,

When you install your air tubes they should fit snuggly, with no play if you jiggle them up and down. Hope that helps.

Hey Sterioman,
Congrats on the install... I am planning on doing the exact same thing very soon... 94-95 Mac mids on my 96... One quick question for ya. Did the 02 sensor wire reach the passenger side 02 sensor? or did you need an extension? Because on the 94-95 model the sensor is much lower?
Let me know how you handled this?
Thanks

Actually, you don't need an extension for the passenger side, but you DO need one for the drivers side. I ordered a 12" 4 pin flat extension from LS1speed.com
You also need to get different AIR adaptors. I called Jet-Hot and got what I needed, but MAC should know what you are talking about. Tell them you have a 96-97, but are installing the '94-'95 headers. They should know what to do. It's just a threader male to male adaptor. It replaces the ones that are on your manifolds now.
You will also need:
Antiseize compound for the header bolts, O2 sensors, and spark plugs
You also need Permatex ultra copper RTV to help seals the slip tube primary.
Have fun, and I hope you are leak free.

Did you try it at all without punching the whole in the catalyst?

Yeah, soon I'm going to be welding up a bolt-on bullet muffler that I can swap in place of the cat. I'm worried that even though the cat is a high flow cat, it it still restricting too much exhaust flow.
The straight thru bullet muffler will fix that. I'll see how I like it. Maybe the smell will make me go back to the cat.

That was me doing the flyby...
That car sounds great, not too loud, not too quiet! I am definitely getting MAC's in the future, but I cant stay away from loud, so I will be running my cutout open 24/7 jsut like I do now. Boy that should be loud!
By the way Jason, the car is in the shop getting new head gaskets and springs good to 0.600 lift so I might get to do the 1.7's first
But I really need those headers to make it worth it.
