My lt4 Extreme duty timing chain had 1/2 inch of slack in it.
Pulled down the front of the motor the other day to change my chain anyway. Was suprised to see over 1/2" slack in the chain. I guess I'm the extreme that would run this setup so I don't know if anyone else would have the same problem. It was only about 2000 ish miles on it..but most of that was spent at 7000 rpms. Oh well..on to bigger and better full roller chain setup...plus..it lighter
Pretty cool that the car went 10s with that little problem..should be some gain just in getting everything back in "sync".

Hmmmm
That gets me thinking......... I wonder how much thsese stockers stretch over time. Do you think these things can cause huge timing problems. Maybe this is what is causing a huge drop off on top end.

it was super tight when I put it on. It just streached big time over time. I would think that their extreme stuff would have held up better than that. And yes..I do think that a streached chain can play havic with your timing events.
