My Lt1 Just Died On Freeway

I was entering the freeway and since there was no cars around i floored it !WOT! When it was about to shift into second Theres a big bang and the car turns off, the sound came from somewhere in the hood. I put it on nutral and just park it on a gas station. After wondering what had happened i turned it on again and it started but it sounds REALLY bad, like metal hitting metal, maybe its the piston or something. This SUCKS, i left my car on the gas station and having someone take a look at it 2morrow.

What could of caused this?

Your best bet would be to remove your oil pan to see if you can see anything. It can be alot of different things.

If it sounds like rocks or golf ***** then it is mostly likely a spun bearing...
