In my love/hate relationship with my car, im back on the love side.

My car has been down for the last two weeks. I invented all kinds of new swear words during my mac header install, which took 2 wks because I have been tied up at work. I finally got the headers in, bolted up the y-pipe and offroad pipe, then drove it like this to the shop to have my magnaflow catback welded in.

After this was done, Im driving back home thinking.. this sounds kinda tame - i was hoping for more. It was rush hour traffic so I didnt get to use more than 1/4 to 1/2 throttle the entire trip home and it didnt feel anything different than the stock manifolds and my ghetto rigged "loudmouth" (i.e. stock tubing with muffler chopped off)

After filling up with some fresh gas, I had a chance to open it up from 1st to the top of 3rd gear. MAN.. did that ever put a smile on my face!!!!! I could feel the gain and all of a sudden, all the aggravation I went through in my garage was wiped away... im back in love with my z28.

sorry for the long read.

I felt much the same way after my header install. The offroad pipe made such a big difference in the sound/tone of the exhaust and I love it! Only thing that has put a frown on my face is no gain whatsoever in track times, or even mph. I guess my car needs a tuning more than I know..
