is my hub on all the way?

sorry about asking a dumb question, however I'm worried the snout isnt all the way on? Thanks and heres pics of it.

I usually tell by "feel" as it is going on. You should feel it stop when it butts against the crank gear.

yea I cant get it on any further, and I consider myself fairly strong, so I'm guessing its on. The whole thing starts to turn when i try to tighten it anymore.

Usually the surface of the hub that's supposed to be inside the cover is shiny, but that my not be of much use if the hab sat autside for long. It will show clearly when the damper is fixed and belt doesn't lineup.
