If you get some good tires, you'll eventually get traction in first. I dont do alot of the burnout stuff though because the rear is such a whimpy one, you shoulda gotten a Vette

What is the Vette's rear? 12bolt?

Strike that... Just found it. looks like Danna 36. Could that rear be used in a 97 Z easily?

It's an independent rear suspension.. soooo no.

You are telling me, with a shift kit, your car won't chirp in 4th when it is downpouring rain? I have had many scary moments shifting into 4th on the roads around here, and that's without the kit, of course, I was manually upshifting around 6k at the time. You could blame it on the rain and bald tires, but it does infact chirp in 4th.

Are you retarded? Shifting the car manually at 6K rpm (in an automatic) at 132+ MPH in the POURING RAIN???????

You're just asking to die.. hell if I know if my car spins the tires into 4th at WOT in the rain, I would assume it does, but that won't prove that I have power, that would prove that I was an idiot.

I have a TransGo SK w/ two washers along w/ a 2800 stall Vigilante. My car rips through 1-2 on street tires, and stays planted at 2-3, just like I want it to be...

"While your spinning.. I'm winning...."

Good tires make a night and day difference in traction.

throw on some SZ50s or Nitto DRs and a lot of that will go away. Train your right foot also.

new shocks w/ soft rebound in rear will do wonders too

Yeah, my problem is that what is good for the track isn't good for the strip and vice versa.

I like to autocross, so tight suspension is necessary, but that blows it for the straightline acceleration.

I can spin my tires in reverse, does that make me really fast. I could spin my tires at 150 in the rain, by why the hell would you want your tires to spin. Chirping gears doesn't make your car faster all it means is that you have ****ty tires.

hmmm i thought re730s were pretty good tires.

nobody said it made our cars cause we could spin the tires at a 100. he used the example of what gears he could spin the tires in and we just agreed that we could to to say that it was about normal.

and whats it matter to you. i never said my car was faster than anybodies cause i can soin the tires.

sorry we didnt know the tire gods would here us

Chirping gears is how you get better times on the track though so it does make you faster than not chirping them. And chirping gears doesnt mean you have ****ty tires really, just street tires. If you have slicks and they chirp then they suck.
