Secondly, why didn't you search about this? This question has been asked just as much as "What is the first mod I should do to my LT1"

How do you want to get into to the 12s? Nitrous? Bolt-ons? Cam?

Back in the day when I was running some boltons, I hit 12's in my 95 m6 with the following. It can be done, and at the time that I did it (1997), everyone thought my car was a freak. I had- mac midtube headers with off road pipes, underdrive, adj fuel regulator, cold air intake, msd, airfoil, and borla catback, and a JET pcm module. I was running mccreary dot's with skinnies in the front on weld prostars with the stock 3.42. I pulled a 1.94 60 foot and my et's were 12.90's at 107mph. So, it can be done if you drive the hell out of it, and put it on a sticky tire....I imagine if i would have had a 4.10, maybe some rockers, and ewp back then, I could have went mid to low 12's with a relatively full weight bolt on car. Hope this helps

 

some headers (preferably longtubes) and radials should get you there maybe even 1.6 rockers if you want..

 

As said before, what do you run? Some people need a cam to hit 12's, others do it with half of the bolt ons. It depends on your driving skills, some people can cut great 60fts and run 12.90's @ 105 and some run the same et with a 114 mph trap. Your going to need most of the bolt ons and a good 60ft (1.8x). good luck

 

Whats sad is I havent been to the track. I know my first time out I will not be there, but that is my goal for now just trying to figure out what I need to get there.
