i was at pep boys getting my car aligned after i dropped it 1inch and the mech there couldn't get the caster/camber right and it turned out that one of the adjustment bolts that is attached to the frame is bent. I havn't had time to study it in depth or look at it closely.

My question is : How hard is to replace the front left subframe?

I would assume i would have to support the engine, remove lines running along it, detach suspension components...

On a side note i cannot junk this car. It has too much money/sentimental value to toss aside becasue of a lousy bent frame.

Is it the frame or the bolt?

If the bolt is bent, replace it and see if it's straight enough to align. If your K frame is bent there would surely be a hell of an impact mark somewhere on it.

 

Did the mech explain to you what parts needed to be replaced? Sounds like you need a second opinion. Ditch Pep boys and find a real alignment shop.
