bolt-on's + PCM4Less tune #'s------->

as of now i have everything in sig except i just installed some 3.73's and finally got a chip from Alvin@PCM4less. first run i went wtihout the chip and only got 255hp/269tq. second run i installled the chip and i dynoed 251hp/26xtq. i was pretty pissed off and decided to cool off the car a little and pull the filter cuz it was running a little rich. third time i did 261hp/281tq. i was a little mad about the #'s but im going to the track on friday night to get some 12.7-12.9 time slips. im hoping i can break the 12's since last time i went 13.03@102. my car feels like a monster on the low end now that i got the chip. even though the #'s don't show it but the chip gave me better SOTP feel than the gears did, not to mention my car has more driveability than before. i have the dyno sheet but i need someone to host it. if some one can post it for me so everyone can take a look at it.

I had a 93 with:

Moroso CAI
Throttle body Bypass
and a Cheap Magnaflow muffler for sound

That netted me 270 HP and 286 Torque.

I think you have other problems with your car.

Most of it would be the stall you have, and where he programmed the torque curve. if it comes in earlier then that is why the numbers are down but performance seams better.. BTW if you were not aware of it dyno's calculate HP from the torque it reads, so your converter could have played into it a good deal. Take it to the track and see if there are improvments there before you jump on Alvin!

how did you manage a 13.03 at 102mph? Your time don't match your trap. You must be killing it out of the hole and not have any top end at all.

Re: bolt-on's + PCM4Less tune #'s------->

everything you guys are saying is true, cuz before i put the stall i dynoed 269hp/298tq with just a cutout and a filter. i know the chip is not to blame cuz it feels pretty strong all over the RPM range. the guys at the shop said i might need to change the fuel filter, and the spark plugs cuz the top end got a little squirly at around 5200-5800 rpm.

as for my track times i really do kill it off the lights and then around the 1/8 my car feels like it just rolls through the traps. i have after market brakes which let me stall the car a little more than others with stock brakes. i have seen many cars around here that trap higher than me and run almost the same as i do. oh and on that 13.03 run i pulled the front seat/swaybar/ and was on skinnies. before that i ran 13.3@101 on 17" Z06 rims up front and 16'' et streets out back.

Hey,

just saw this post.

If you would like send me the dyno graphs and I'll make sure theres nothign we can pick the car up on. Its amazing how much driveablity the factory leaves on the table with just bolt ons isn't it?

Thanks
Alvin.
