My first top-end “Craigslist” build (build sheet and dyno results)
My first top-end “Craigslist” build (build sheet and dyno results)
Finally finished my Craigslist top-end build project – Took a lot longer than I thought because I travel a lot and my tuner wanted me to make several other mods before the dyno tune. The last mod (Felpro 255 fuel pump) was completed on 7/7/13 and the dyno tune was done on 7/12/13 by Tad Banzuelo in Placentia CA. Built sheet and dyno results are noted below.
Going into this project these were my goals:
• 300 + hp at the wheels
• Fix oil leaks in the front of the motor
• Pass CA smog
• Keep daily driver / weekend cruiser quality
• Do it on the cheap (buy new where I need to)
Results:
• 300 + hp at the wheels – 332hp
• Fix oil leaks in the front of the motor (Fail – I think I screwed up the H2O pump seal)
• Pass CA smog (Tad says it will – will know in December)
• Keep daily driver / weekend cruiser quality - Yep
• Do it on the cheap – Sort of (ended up buying injectors, 52MM TB, Fuel pump, and different plugs for the tune)

Dyno Results:

Tad said that my set up is being held way back by my “Y” pipe and the OEM single cat. I am happy with the results considering the restrictions I have to live under. It would be nice to run long tube headers – it sucks having to live under the CA smog rules.
