My dyno sheet...

How good is this torque curve?

http://www.angelfire.com/nj4/96blackws6/Dyno_1.jpg

Numbers are in the signature... this is almost as good as it can get right? nice steady incline for the hp and the tq never really drops. So this would mean i'd be faster then a dude with boltons making the same power but with a bad torque curve.

Re: My dyno sheet...

As good as it can get? No.

Can you beat someone with only boltons? Maybe.

You really need headers at a minimum, as bolton cars have made more power than your cammed car. I know you have heard it alot, but you are holding back 25-30hp easy, and that can be fixed with a $400 set of pacesetters with the y-pipe.

Please get a better picture of your sheet online, as that one is borderline useless.

Re: My dyno sheet...

Just to give you an idea of where you stand, my buddy's bolt-on LT1 put down 314 rwhp and 334 tq. A set of headers and you will have some good numbers.

With angelfire you need to cut an paste, but I wouldn't waste my time because its too blurry to see anything.

Re: My dyno sheet...

Sorry to sound rude, but those answers really weren't my question. I am saying that if a bolt on car put down the same numbers... wouldn't my car be a little faster because of good torque curve? The curve is flat across the board. Sorry that I wasn't specific enough with my question the first time around.

Re: My dyno sheet...

I doubt your torque curve is any better than a bolt-on car with that cam. A bolton car will be putting out quite a bit more torque than HP, so I think the edge would go to the bolt-on car...

You asked us to look at the curve and comment on how flat it is. People are simply telling you that A) they can't even access the picture, or B) when they access it, they can't see anything. Maybe your monitor is better than mine, but the picture is impossible to see any detail, and as noted in the first response, actually does hurt your eyes when you try to read it. You were not realistic in expecting anyone to be able to respond to your question, IMHO.

Re: My dyno sheet...

I am just curious to know how much a torque curve matters... thats what i'm saying.

If my car and a bolt on car put down similar numbers. With my torque curve being as flat as it is... would I be much faster? Thats my question

Re: My dyno sheet...

Pic doesn't work... and just tossing out ideas here, just get some headers and get all you can get out of that cam. You will see awesome gains when coupled with what you've done so far.

Re: My dyno sheet...

To answer your question about the tq curve, yes if your peak numbers are the same as a bolt on car, but your curve is flatter, your car will likely be faster. However, most bolton cars will do 325+rwtq when setup correctly.

Re: My dyno sheet...

I can't see the pic either, but does your torque curve look like this:

This is an old graph of my car. No headers on at the time.
