My car runs too hot!!!
I've posted on this before but what I found was that the stock gauge was actually fairly accurate, it's just the location in the head that runs hot. I put a later model dual sensor in the waterpump so the gauge reads just what the computer sees. I've never seen it go more than a degree or two over 212F and it's usually 210. Apparently the temp does spike to a certain extent in the heads. If the idea of this bothers you, you could do what I did. I put a 203deg.F temp switch in the hole where the head sensor was and rigged it to turn on the fans. I don't use it anymore but it's still on the car. If anybody is interested in doing something like this I can look up the part numbers for the dual sensor and the 203 switch.
