My car is overheating

Alright. My car has been overheating for like 2 months. When im stopping and going, and in traffic the temp is up to like almost redline, and the fans come on but they dont cool it down too much, i also have a manual fan switch i turn that on somtimes when it gets hot. but when it gets hot it runs like CRAP. I got a 160* powerstat and the pcm is tuned for a 160* stat. I opened the bleeder screws and there is no air in the lines. What else should i check???

I am having this same problem right now too...its getting kind of annoying and im concerned that ill ruin the engine with this like what happened to my last camaro...which ended up having a blown head gasket from the time i bought it...so yeah, you guys suggest bleeding the system and/or new water pump/thermostat? any help is appreciated

Did you take the metal plate off the top and look down in front of the radiator??? Not long after I got mine, I checked and there was one of those plastic grocery bags in there.

Just my $.02
