My car is missing

Yesterday I was pulling out into traffic, got on my car, missed2nd gear, it revved up, now I have a miss. I checked all of my plug wires plugs and pulled my valve covers off to check my pushrods and rocker arms and I found nothing do you guys have anymore ideas any suggestion would be much appreciated

Wow!! until I read your post, I thought your car was missing...as in you lost it and couldn't find it!!! J/K...Anyway, it could be the opti. If the plugs, wires, rockers, and pushrods are good maybe something came loose on the opti. When my opti failed, it actually came loose from the rotor.

well I changed the opti and nothing changed so what now I checked my plugs but I think that I will change them anyway and then I got some new o2 sensors and I am going to change tem too. If you guys have any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

Plug wires perhaps? If it keeps doing it after you've changed all of that, I'd look at your coil possibly.

well I have now ordered injectors to see if this is the problem. I needed them anyway but I hope that this is the problem. I amgoing to get the computer ran in the mornig and then if I dont learn anything from that I am going to run a compression check and go from there. any more suggestions from you guys that know alot more about these cars than I do, any suggestion will help

well I changed the injectors and the o2 sensors, and nothing has changed, I am going to run it on the computer in the morning though so hopefully that will tell me something.

Hey man, try unplugging one of your o2 sensors and it will run in open loop mode. See what happens, it cleared up a nasty miss for me until i fixed it right!! Good luck.

I haven't fixed it yet. I = Broke . I just got my header leak fixed and that didn't help but im pretty sure its the o2's on mine. Split BLM's for me may have something to do with my cam also. Did it work for you?

well I changed the spark plug wires today and the plugs again, the plugs looked really bad the front four looked like they were really lean and the back four were black. anyway I put the wires and plugs on but haveto wait tp see if it fixed it since I broke the end of my coil off

well you were right I had pulled my valve covers off prolly 4 or 5 times and never seen it but number 5 intake valve has a broken spring and retainer, I feel like a dumn *** now since I missed it earlier but I now have 987s on order from jegs should be here thurs or friday I wish I would have seen it it would have saved me about 850 dollars
