Is my car falling apart?

The other day I was at my Girlfriends place and when I left her Mom found a snap ring under my car and she said that there was nothing there before I parked there, the snap ring is 2" in diameter and I have a picture of it if it would help. I can't think of any place on the car that a snap ring could just fall off of, but this is my fist 4th gen and I haven’t had it all apart like I have 3rd gens. I bought the car in June and the dealership replaced the clutch for me just after I bought it so maybe it's just an old snap ring that was sitting somewhere and just finally fell, I don't know, I don't think that it's actually from my car.

Thanks for the help

Nobody has any idea? Well thats ok, I'm pretty sure it's not from my car anyway, if it was it should have caused some sort of problem by now.

it could be the snap-ring that holds the throw out bearing in place.

Thanks for the help, my car hasn't fell apart yet so I think I'll be fine. I was wondering if it was from the throw out bearing, maybe it was the old one and they placed on top of the transmission when they did the clutch.
