1st oil change in 100 miles and 2nd oil change 200 miles after that and then give it hell, sound reasonable to you fellas?

Sounds resonable, just make sure to change the oil after running the car for about 20 mins to get all the crap out from the install.

There's really no need to break in a motor when you only did a cam/head swap. You should however take it easy as you said, just so you can sort through the random issues that will probably come up. A leak here, some tuning there, etc. Make sure you change the oil soon, as you probably used cam lube, and there will be some dirt and maybe even some small metal shavings. Then you can give it hell

nah no cam lube, just used oil.
ok so i'll let it run for 20min or so then change it and the filter, then do 100 miles then 200 miles then give 'er hell

i'm sure i'll have to readjust some of the rockers
and i really hope there is no major oil leaks, that will suck *****
