Is my AIR deleted right?

Well i was just wondering since i just got my Hooker LT's on. They didn't come with any AIR fittings so the shop that installed them just removed the air pump. But i have 2 tubes 1 on each side that are both unpluged. My car is running really rich also and it sounds like i have a bad exhaust leak. So i was just wondering if those had to be plugged up with something.

All you have to plug off when deleting AIR are the header/manifold fittings and the air box/ CAI hole. Deleting the AIR pump and hoses will have no effect on drivability. EGR on the other hand could cause a massive exhaust leak on the back of the intake or on the header if it isnt blocked off, but Hookers dont come with EGR fittings that I know of. So you may want to check your EGR connections out.

I know what you are talking about drewstealth.... I had my LTs put in this week. I have my egr and air deleted from my pcm, but the hook ups coming from the engine are not plugged over... so I am wondering the same thing....should the open hook ups be plugged over... thanks

So the AIR wouldn't cause an exhaust leak by an unplugged fitting somewhere since the Hookers don't come with an air fitting? How do i know if my EGR is blocked off or not? Also on the 2 tubes that are unplugged the one on the drivers side has 2 opened ends.

Well i haven't had either one of them deleted from my pcm. But i'm not throwing any codes either. Or at least my SES light hasn't came on yet.

everything should be blocked off! NOTHING should be left open either on the headers or the intake. you are ok with leaving the old EGR valve in place as its closed unless the pcm commands it to open so youll have no leaks there. i am confused about the headers though b/c i thought hookers didnt come with AIR provisions on them

AIR just provides warm air to you cats on a coldstart. It only runs for a few miniutes, so it is basically pointless to have it without cats, plug the tubes off with something and you will be fine.

They don't come with the AIR provisions. The shop pulled out the air pump but i don't know if anything had to be blocked off. I don't know what those 2 tubes are going too. But like i said the drivers side has 1 tube in the front corner of the manifold and it has to openings(the top and the side) and the passenger side has 1 tube with only one opening on the top.

I have no idea what could be opened on the manifold... maybe some pictures would help. did they block off the EGR tube that connected just to the left, as you face the car, of the EGR valve at the back of the motor?

I can't see any tube that would connect to the EGR. If anybody has some good pics it would help me out.

The tube on the drivers side looks like comes from the bottom of the motor and goes up and it has an opening on the tob of the tube and right on the side of the tube. There is the exact same thing but on the passanger side there is only 1 opening on the top.

You're probably talking about the AIR crossover tube. It is bolted to the block behind the a/c compressor and down by where the AIR pump used to be. The crossover doesnt get blocked off because there's nothing to block off, its just a piece of waste tubing and needs to be removed. You'll either have to cut it out or leave it. I got mone out in one piece when I took my A/C compressor off.

Okay thx. That must be what it is. I still gotta try to find out if they blocked off my EGR though. I can't tell by looking at it and i can't feel anything on the back of the intake that feels like it is opened.
