my 93Z just quit all of a sudden!

So my 93 Z28 just quit while driving on the 401 today at about 120 km/h, it just died. So i was able to safely get to the shoulder, but there was no life at all - not even battery power - i couldnt turn the hazards on or anything. After about 1/2 hour or so i was able to start it up. I managed to get it back to Waterloo and about 3 blocks from home it died again. This time also, no battery power - everything was dead. I had to get it towed - it's at my fiance's GM dealership now.

Any ideas what it could be?

I thought maybe the opti, but i dont think that would kill the battery power too? Maybe a bad ground somewhere?

Short in the battery, corroded battery terminals and wires. The hazards should work even if the ignition switch loses power.

Man you know i was thinking about that last night sitting here with my fiance saying maybe i should have just towed it home and i could fix it - save some $$. She's going in early to talk to them and i'm going to call to tell them to check the battery and it's terminals and wiriing. Hopefully they dont charge me too much for something that simple and hopefully that's all it is.

It's times like these when i'm without it that i realize how much i love that car!

thanks
