My 383 stroker swap progress

Hey all, well FINALLY i found the time to do my swap. I gave myself till Sunday night (its Friday night now). We worked for 5 hours and got the motor out of the car through the bottom of course with the trans attached. It wasn't that hard, we were using a lift and made it SOO much easier. Tomorrow we swap over the harness and evap unit, everything else on the motor is brand new! Any questions? Ill try to get some pics up...

PS: Much h8 for the way GM put the ABS sensor connector in the worse place ever on the body!

Re: My 383 stroker swap progress

Well 11pm'ish EST, new motor and trans is in the car, k member bolts, shock tower bolts, and trans cross member. I connected all the sensors via the harness with it out of the car, was sooo easy... Tomorrow is all about putting the harness in the right locations on the passenger side fender, connecting the break lines, abs, and putting the master brake cylinder back/brake booster line, flashing the car with a new tune, putting all panels and stuff back and hopefully starting it. BTW, to anyone! doin a swap, take the time to paint the k-member when the old motor is out, i painted mine ALL jet black and it came out sweet. Also on a side note, doin headers with the new motor on the stand ROCKS, but can you belive it still gave me issues!!! the passenger side ones SUCK, the middle primary ones, i dunno if its a ****ty header design or what...but its the worst EVER! hope my 1" long breslin's dont back out haha. Thanks Eric for the offer, if i run into any issues i sure will call. On another side note, while doing this swap, i was sporting my Victory Racing Engines t-shirt, it is now destroyed haha. Guys I need a new one
