Re: My 383 LT1 specs and pics
Got the valve covers on ebay, i think they were $88 or something. Just search for "lt1 valve cover" ummm as for the cranks. The Racemaster is supposed to be a "stronger" crank, but the racemaster crank i belive is overkill for a stock lt1 block, that crank can handle more then the stock block can. I know lots of people will disagree, but im talking about efficently, without worrying about cracking, etc... I could have gone with the Racemaster, but i went with the dragonslayer, they are good well above 1000 fwhp, closer to 1200 i think. As for the sizes, correct me if im wrong people but with a 4.030" bore size the crank sizes are for the following

3.480" = 355
3.750" = 383
3.875" = 396

I'm pretty sure of that..mite want to double check.

Re: My 383 LT1 specs and pics
Eagle forged 4340 3.75" crank holding 1200hp, I DOUBT IT. Question is what is handle? A few times? daily driving? drag racing? I think its rated for no more then 750rwhp according to a few places i called.

Looks great! I hope that thing works well for ya. I've heard those comp "r" lifters are junk if they are the newer style. Might wanna search it to see if you have the newer style. I have seen it on a few different forums. Just a heads up. Have fun with it as I know I would.

How are you going to get to that HP number you are talking about?

I wouldn't be too worried about the crank at that level anyways, the block should be the first concern.

pretty sweet looking, I love the black intake manifold, just hope it doesn't make the engine bay look too dark. post some dyno and track numbers when you can.
