I am puttin jet hot lts on my car and im goin for true duals with the mufflers at the bumper. U should go with the true duals, a little more power and a much better sound. But if u go with the mufflex i would run the 4inch. I have never lost power buy going with big pipes even when shops have told me i would. But thats just my opinion.

Just a point of reference.... the quickest LT1 on record ran a Mufflex 4" all the way to the low 9's. He only removed it to save the 50# it weighs. He saw no HP increase after removing it, and just running LT's with collector mufflers. And that's at the 1,125flywheel HP level.

I would look into the 3.5" system. That is more than enough for your mods.

Unless your running something wicked, a 4" exhaust sounds like basically a big tube with rumble, no throat to it.

What y-pipe you going to run? That is more important than the exhaust. A crappy one will kill #'s.

Well I am not sure what y pipe I am going to use. I was going to use the mufflex one but have heard stories about how bad they fit. So I am not real sure right now.

Injuneer: Wish I was closer to pick that up from you!!

I just dropped the stuff off at your house!

How does the spintech sound compared to the flowmaster muffler on the mufflex??

i disregarded what most said about 4" being to big.. FOr my lil bolt on car.. Went w/ the spintech dual outlet 4" system.. And i'm very impressed with it.. Don't think i have lost any power at all especially since it went 12.90@108 @3930lbs Rw.. Go for the 4" Sounds so goood...

Is there a site I can go to hear the 3 1/2 Mufflex cat back? Is Mufflex better than ATR? What's the difference between the two systems?

I'm thinking about adding a cat back when I install the SLP CAI, 160 thermo, 1LE, and PCM tune.

How much HP/torque should I expect to an otherwise stock '95, M6, B4C Camaro (with less than 18K miles)?

I will be getting the dyno... but would appreciate your "guesses".

Will the exhaust truly add HP or just noise?

Go with the Mufflex 4"!!!! Meineke installed mine and said I am "the envy of the exhaust world" in my little town. The sound is AWESOME! Get the Mufflex Y-pipe for your LT's too. You will be glad you did.

Now I need to decide on a head/cam combo. Tis time..

I also forgot to mention something. Times in my sig are with a 3" y-pipe that connects to a 2-7/8" intermediate pipe to the axle from which I used stock tubing everywhere else. I run a flowmaster muffler also in the mix with stock tips.

I figure I could run low 11's with this current exhaust setup.

I know Grease on this forum runs a 2-1/2" y-pipe with a 3" catback. His car runs well.

Just thought I might add that.
